When my eyesight was still good, I was a bit of an amateur photographer. This is one of mine.

A bit more serene this week. This is Palma cathedral, in Mallorca. It was permanently sunny there (this is March 2013 and it was freezing at home) so it was good to see some shadows.

A lovely cathedral. In my younger days Mr. Swiss spent a week in Mallorca. I remember the black swans on the lake outside the cathedral – good photographic memory.

We loved Mallorca, it was just the tonic after a long UK winter. I went on a cycling holiday and took the family along – I cycled mornings but we had the afternoons free to explore. We were only about 5k out of Palma.

Blueberry and cream cheese sky. Looks as lovely as I’ve imagined it to be.

I’d like to go back there, although from here it would mean flying. But it is one of the things I dream about.

I’d still like to go. Always wanted to do a big trip to somewhere in Spain for a milestone birthday.

It is such a pity that, with a limited time in Europe, covid seems to have prevented you doing lots of things. You might have even got to the UK at some point – how scary would that have been?

My stomach would have dropped the whole way, for sure.
