The Rocket Effect

An Artist's Impression of the Coronavirus particle.

Just thought I’d share this data which I updated this evening. This is the number of COVID cases in our village. The increase over the christmas period is about tenfold (compared to, say, pre-December). But I’ll just going to share the image and let you provide the commentary.

As far as I can tell, our area is absolutely typical of all UK areas.

You can click through to a full size image if you like but you can probably get the gist from the smaller image.

    1. Yes, it appears that people are less willing to abide by those rules than they were 10 months ago, as well. That’s certainly what I have been picking up on social media. I suppose they’ve had all that time for Trump’s “no worse than flu” to sink in.

      1. Exactly. Here in Saudi Arabia, it’s as if everyone’s back to normal only with aesthetically pleasing masks… I am still very much scared because we’re like the last ones to get the vaccine. thank GOD my parents got their first dose last week, but as for us, potential carriers, and I being immunocompromised too, we’re out of luck + btw, I wasn’t approved for the vaccine because of my 2 anaphylaxes on record 😦

    1. Our govy made a big thing of having christmas, although that was scaled back at the last minute, and just after New Year’s they announced a full lockdown anyway. Their decision to hold back the lockdown until after everything was done might well have been costly.
