The Detectives was a comedy show which aired in the UK betweem 1993-7. I loved it.

Hi, Cap, I hope all is well with you. It’s funny, I only vaguely remember that one but I just watched some on YouTube and it seems quite similar. It is quite amusing to watch David Jason, he was in several sitcoms and obviously “learning the trade” as he went.
