When my eyesight was still good, I was a bit of an amateur photographer. This is one of mine.
Last week I introduced Étretat (France) and the Porte d’Aval. Here’s what you get if you look the other way, la Porte d’Amont.
I should have mentioned last week, and you can probably tell by the light, that these shots were taken first thing on a summer’s morning. We would arrive on the ferry at about 8AM, and Étretat was a favourite destination for breakfast. Looks like it’ll be a lovely day!

Yes I think so too. These chalk cliffs exist both sides of the English Channel. I remember one of our visits, I climbed up one of these cliffs and had wonderful views of the town and the beach below. Nut, as it often is, it was raining. I remember one time getting very soaked here!

I am not so familiar with the streets of France but the photo on Google Maps reminded me of Robert De Niro’s movie, The Family…

These places are beautiful on good days, unfortunately his part of France has as much rain as the UK. Still, it makes everything green.
