Fandango’s One Word Challenge (26 May 2020)

By some truly freakish coincidence, I posted about a song from the last Queen album, Innuendo, at 4am (UK) this morning, just a few hours before Fandango’s own One Word Challenge (FOWC) prompt of innuendo went live. Of all the words in the English language…

Anyway, I can’t possibly top my earlier post so if you fancy a listen to a lovely Freddie Mercury song, please just head on over to my last post!

  1. Funnily enough I watched a recording of a Queen concert in Rio on the TV the other night, on BBC4, followed by an excellent documentary about Freddie Mercury – what a brilliant musician he was! 🙂

    • yes I saw that concert was on, too, I didn’t realise there was something afterwards else I might have recorded it. Brian May is the guy I admire, for going back to uni and picking up astrophysics again. I would have liked to have done that. I get more nostalgic for academia as I get older, which I suspect is how he has gone.

        • well done, it takes a lot of determination I think to go back into that world. I just took the “regular” path – 18-21 at uni, directly after A levels, then got out asap because I was fed up being poor. But you take everything for granted at that age. Ironically I was offered the chance to go further but declined, maybe wish I had done so now! I had the kind-of opposite experience in that when I started going out with a girl in my early twenties, I found out she already had a daughter and I ran a mile 🙂

  2. I love Queen. Thank you for sharing. I don’t know even close to all of their music. Freddie doesn’t look good here but I love watching him when Queen was fresh and new.
