I posted earlier about how today looked to be a washout. Almost, not quite:

It’s kinda scary though. All the actual shops have closed down but Salisbury is full of cafes! This one was a (new) waffle cafe.

I’m of the opinion that shops will reopen under new names once people feel secure in crowds again. Some will go strictly online. I doubt everything will ever go back to normal, post-pandemic, but we’ll adjust. Having said that, I drove 5-miles to a farm shop this afternoon; I’m still not comfortable with crowds in Tesco.

Funnily enough, we found the local farm shops were the places to go at the start of all this, when the supermarkets had empty shelves.

One of the farm shops I’ve used is mostly delivering now. The best beef and fish I’ve ever tasted. Lots of fresh fruit and veg also. They sourced meat/fish from butchers who supplied to the trades, and now they have a thriving business. Watts Farm in Aylesford, if you’re interested.

I know where Aylesford is, of coure. Mostly, I don’t eat meat these days. Mrs B sends away for grass-fed meat, she has a thing about what the animals are fed on. Too much reading!

I agree with Mrs B. I don’t want antibiotics and hormones in my food.
