Always so much excitement at the cycle races, and especially when the Tour de France came to to Yorkshire, right here on our doorstep and passing the end of the lane. From that came the Tour de Yorkshire. And equally well supported and also on our doorstep.

Yeah they are great spectacles. I used to follow it all religiously at this time. I didn’t go to Yorkshire but went over to France to see it several times. Once I even cycled over and (a fluke) stayed in the same hotel as one of the teams.

The riders, meh. There were a few famous faces, but, meh. But they washed all the bikes outside the hotel. It was like watching porn 🤣
