Inspired by Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (FOWC) of 17 January 2023, door.
In her nightdress, a poor girl called Pam,
Took the trash out, and got in a jam,
Wearing only a sliver,
Started quickly to shiver,
When, behind her, she heard the door slam.
Currently not far above freezing here.
I tried to empty my indoor recycling bin this morning, but couldn’t even get the outdoor bin open – the lid was not only covered with snow, but was frozen shut too! Brrr…

It was our bin day today, too. I hope they got everything!

-4C here. Bundled up, and took some photos of the hoar frost this morning. Very pretty, if not perishingly cold. Oh, and excellent poem!

By the time I lookedc the Beeb said we were 3. It’s going negative in the night but I’m not minding that. The Woodburner went on at 11am today.

It’s finally thawing here, just as the sun is setting.

Poor Pam, I hope there’s someone home to let her back in! Great writing as always! 🙂

I have actually done that. I was locked out for nearly two hours

My mother locked herself out of my apartment once. She had a key but swore it didn’t work. I had to knock off work early to get back to her, which probably took an hour, whereupon I took the key opff her and opened the door.
You should restart your “guess the track” btw.

Too hard. Actually getting the tracks is so painful. Hubby has to do it through Linux for me, and he gets huffy about it
