Reblog: Birthday Wishes – Louis Armstrong

I try to keep my music posts separate to the main blog these days. I figure that if people wanted to see them, they would already be following Songshine.

But did you know it was Satch’s anniversary today? 1901. Even older than most of you!

For the purposes of the music blog I like to use moving images, to give reader something to look at as they listen, but this is my favourite of his tracks, this “video” was all I could find.

Separated with a grown/flown daughter. In life, I designed IT systems, taking a career break as a bicycle mechanic, until interrupted by a stroke in 2016, aged 48.
