Prompt image for the Fandango's Flash Fiction prompt

For Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge #175, based on the image below by snatti89 at DeviantArt.

Thought I’d write it as a quick hundred.

Thank fuck that’s done. Surprising how the toughies fold, soon you push the nuclear button!

All that waterworks, for god’s sake. I almost felt sorry for him. If he wasn’t such a manipulator, I might have even caved myself. He’s full of shit. Six months, wasted. At least now, I can get on with my life.

Lost without me? Get real! Just go, find yourself some other mug to control.

I hope Trish’s still on for tonight. I’ll enjoy letting our hair down without any claustrophobic men.

Where’s this tram? Hurry up, for chrissake; get me away from here.

    • You’re right. Somehow I thought, if this guy is as bad as she thought, that she’s not seen the end of him.
I like these hundreds because it’s a mighty challenge starting with something maybe 150-200 words and then simmering it down. But it’s probably more of a challenge for the writer, because the you inevitably have to cut some good stuff out.

        • Yes it’s a useful thread to start. I don’t think I’d like it though because it my immediate though was that it takes me toward domestic abuse, which would be an unpleasant write.
I suppose it would be a good twist if it was her abusing him. That’s something I rail about – that society always focusses on women as the vic.
But a novel is 80,000 words – this is 100!
