Hello, Mr Bump.
Sorry to hear about your stroke. I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and had a shunt inserted at 25 and developed a nasty autoimmune disease at 36. So I’ve had a few restarts and do a lot of writing and history research. I discovered 100 word flash fiction a few years ago and love it.
Best wishes,
Rowena
Hi, Rowena, nice to “meet” you.
Hundred word flashes are great for efficiency, I find, where every single word has to fight for its place. Brilliant just for economy. I use limericks to do much the same – sillier the better!
Nice to meet you too. I’ve been quite surprised about what I’ve been able to express in 100 words, especially as I’m usually quite a lengthy writer.
I haven’t got into limericks. I live in Australia and I never hear them here. However, a blogging friend of mine, Geoff Le Pard from London is rather fond of them. Thought you might enjoy his blog. We’ve been following each other for close to ten years: https://geofflepard.com/
Best wishes,
Rowena
Thanks, I’ll check him out.
I’ve done a few hundred word flashes but generally prefer 500-1000.
Did you see 100 Word Story? They run a photo challenge every month.
There are places in Europe which have dealt with this. Royal families co-exist, but have no special privileges compared to other citizens. That’s the way to go. Not better than anyone else, but not worse, either.
Kiddies hell! I’m enjoying the snot out of these. Clever, creative, and comical yet salted with “well, yeah, that’s exactly the way it is!’ Good show!

Thanks for putting me onto the 100 word story. I’ve flagged it. Sounds great. Do you know about Friday Fictioneers? They’re at https://rochellewisoff.com/. There’s also Carrot Ranch https://carrotranch.com/flash-fiction/
Best wishes,

That first name rings a bell, so I suspect I know some participants. I’ll have a look.

We’d just stick them all in a museum.

No better? Surely there must be some perks. Crowns and jewels, even.
