The Saturday Groan

Noah kept his oldest pair of bees
In the archive.

Making you groan… any day of the week!

Repost: Tasty Morsels

I thought this limerick, slightly modified, might also fit this week’s Flashback Track Friday challenge, where we are asked to:

Write about an inventive murder.

A purveyor of canine cuisine,
My best friend got pushed into machine,
He was chopped up and ground,
Then deliciously browned,
And once cooked, turned the dog food bright green.

Any advance on being minced?

inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 1 January 2022, harbinger.

We were merry, at New Year’s Day fete,
When king’s envoy arrived on his skates,
But this harbinger merry,
Thanks in most part to sherry,
Had forgotten what tale to relate.

Happy New Year, folks.

Happy New Year, everyone. All I can say is that I hope 2022 is better for you than for this guy!

This is my response to this week’s Flashback Track Friday prompt, where we are asked to:

Write about an inventive murder.

A long-suffering woman called Betty,
For protection, kept two-foot machete,
When her husband got frisky,
Didn’t realise how risky,
‘t‎il she shredded him fine, like confetti.

What a way to go – sliced and diced! Happy New Year.
