Mrs Bump wore a fine costume jewel,
But I crushed it, while playing Tom Fool,
She let out a loud squeal,
For the diamond was real,
And she bashed in my head with a stool.

yep, diamonds do not crush Mr. Bump but then your head probably doesn’t bash either. Some of us are just too
hard-headed 🙂 but I loved the verse gave me a good laugh for 8:40 a.m. as I sit here drinking my coffee!

It’s funny I had just opened it when I saw your comment. He does this one every week – some photo or other – and I normally come up with sometghing, although it sometimes takes a few days for something to crystallise.

They can be good fun. People use different names for different word counts but i temnd to just label it all as “flash fiction”. Up to maybe 7 or 8 minutes.
The shorter ones are challenging, just because it is difficult to tell a story in just 100 words, say, but this one has no limits, so it really just boils down to discretion.
I’m not sure about this one. Who is she? Where is she going? Have to see if I can spin anything around that. It reminded me of the beautiful architecture you get close to the palace in London. The Mall or somewhere. But if you’re not UK, none of that will mean anything 🙂
