Shocking Pink

We had a very poor weekend weatherwise but we did get some brief sun early yesterday, so I shot the rhododendron in our garden. Pretty garish, don’t you think? We grew it from tiny and it was several years before it even began to flower. It’s not a colour I’d have chosen if I’d seen it in the shop. However there is a clump of bluebells next to it and there is a delicious contrast between the two.

  1. I agree with the contrast between the two types of flowers 🙂 In our neighborhood, many houses have azaleas in the front yards, and their blooms are really bright and colorful — something I look forward to when spring arrives.

    1. It’s true that, now that my eyes are not so good, I appreciate the vividness of flowers more, and I love it when people post images of flowers on here. But I think we might have chosen better than Barbie Pink 🤣
