It blows me away that every new song nowadays seems to come with a well-produced video, where I remember the first music videos accompanying tracks as an optional extra.
Earlier, KK posted her “New Music Monday” track on our new blog, Songshine Sounds, and this is no exception. This was released just in the last week, but I guess a lot more time went into producing that video.
Does your spirit crave the new? I know mine does. So every Monday, I will feature a new song that wasn’t even in existence the week before. Yes, it’s true. Great new music is still being made every week. I will mix up the genres and artists to keep the surprises coming.
Indie-Rock band, Sleater-Kinney is known for their sharp, clashing punk rock music, but this week, the band released a much more mellow track. “Worry With You” has a psychedelic, breezy highway kinda-feel. The band’s upcoming tenth studio album, Path of Wellness, will be their first self-produced album and it promises to be one that captures the relationship ups and downs we’ve all been experiencing during Covid. Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker sing in unison during the chorus, “Let’s get lost baby/And take a wrong turn/That’s the life, that’s the life/We never ever wanna get burned.”
