inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 11 January 2021, operation.
As a youngster, went crabbing with chum,
When one creature latched onto his thumb,
It required operation,
To remove this crustacean,
Leaving poor guy’s hand withered and numb.
Momma said you nip things in the bud meaning stop it before is starts or gets out of control.

haha! Ouch! Really like this limerick. It has a wonderful flow.
I live not far from Cromer Town. The home of some of the best crab in the country. I love putting a line in the water and catching me a few big red edible crabs. I always return them alive mind you. As a chef I always said I will never kill a creature. If it comes to me dead I will give it a good funeral though.

I hope you don’t tell the crabs they’re the best – you’ll make ’em blush!

Haha! No mustn’t do that. If they get to big a head’s they’ll become hard to catch!

Ooh that must have hurt. I’ve been know to have been injured by a crab claw just eating one that had already been steamed!

Do you know, I’m not sure I ever tried crab. Or lobster. Neither of them float my boat. I mostly stuck to fish, though I do enjoy a good moules frites. Or even a bad one!

Blue crab is one of my favorites type of seafood. I used to live in Maryland, the home of Chesapeake blue crabs, but you can’t get them in California, where I now live, unless you ship them overnight, which is very expensive. Where I live now, we have Dungeness crabs, but they aren’t, in my opinion, as sweet and tasty as blue crabs.

Dungeness? We vhave a Dungeoness here, famous for… a power station! Think it is in Kent, extreme SE.
