A friend alerted me to a product recall on Primula cheese spread.
Primula is a UK brand, but it is ultimately made by one of these big conglomerates, so might well be multinational. It’s one of these creamy-but-with-very-little-actual-cheese cheese spreads. I used to love it as a boy and most of the attraction now is childhood memories.

As far as I can make out (but you should check the article) the batch refers to every sub-flavour of their cheese spread, with product expiry between this christmas and the end of January 2021.
So, if you have one of these, it is worth checking. But before you panic – we bought a tube of Primula only two days ago from a big Tesco – I checked the expiry and it is already July 2021. So my guess is that the big supermarkets are already long past this batch. But if I’d bought it from a smaller supermarket with a lower stock turnover…
